For about 2 years now I have lived with out cable. Yes it is possible in America to live without cable. Although
recently I think I have been just fooling myself. I have been down loading a lot of
iTunes TV shows lately. The three I watch the most are Hero's, Veronica Mars and One Punk Under God. All great shows. I would highly recommend One Punk Under God. Its about Jay
Bakker, the son of Jim and Tammy Fay
Bakker the creators of
televangelism. The show is only six
episodes long but it's great.
Jay talks a lot about loving people unconditionally. (By the way so did Jesus) He shows this through the church he started called
Revolution. The attract the
tattooed, the
pierced, and other people that the Church has rejected.
Watch a trailer here.... Towards the end Jim
Bakker makes a
powerfull comment. He says that Jay is doing what he really wanted to do with his life, he's living people unconditionally. Jim makes the point that because he has chosen to live in the main stream of Christianity (he has his own
Christian TV show) that means that he can't live the radical life his son is living because he needs to look the part for his christian
audience.
